Laura and Mike had a beautiful May wedding at The Farmhouse. What started as a rainy day soon turned into a beautiful evening, followed by an unforgettable sunset!
How did you meet and when did he propose?
We met when we were 18 and working at a restaurant together, but we were too shy to communicate. We reconnected 16 years later through Facebook. We knew it was meant to be and on Christmas Day of 2021, Mike proposed.
Why did you choose The Farmhouse for your wedding? What were some of your favorite things about the venue?
As a kid, Mike played baseball outside nearby and always remembered how beautiful The Farmhouse was. When I went on the website I realized it had everything I wanted and after the open house I knew it was the place we were meant to be married. We loved the flowers all over the venue.
What was one of your favorite moments on your wedding day?
There are too many to pick from. My favorite moment was walking down the aisle knowing I was marrying Mike. It was the best feeling I have ever had in the world.
What song did you choose for your first dance? What other special touches did you include on your big day?
We chose ‘From the Ground Up’ by Dan and Shay. We also had a private last dance which we loved and was very special and memorable.
If you had one piece of advice for future couples, what would it be?
Try not to stress too much about your day, no matter what obstacle- it will still always be perfect. Take everything in and remember every moment.
