Courtney & Nick - November 2024

Surrounded by their loved ones and beautiful flowers in warm Fall hues, Courtney and Nick tied the knot this November! The bride shared some behind-the-scenes photos from her big day!

How did you meet your significant other?

We met when I came to Philadelphia for a job interview. I didn’t even know if I would get the job, but we exchanged phone numbers and did phone dates and Facetime movies for 6 months until I came for this job and we have been together ever since (7 years later).

Why did you choose The Farmhouse for your wedding? What were some of your favorite things about the venue?

We absolutely felt at home at The Farmhouse. We connected with the amazing staff and felt truly taken care of from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere of this venue really connected to who we are individually, both growing up in more rural settings and Courtney a farmers daughter- the name of the location felt kismet.

What was one of your favorite moments on your wedding day?

So many! It's hard to count… Our favorite memory together had to be seeing each other for the first time waking down the aisle. The team honored our wishes of not seeing each other beforehand and that made the moment so precious. Another would be the absolute joy that filled the venue and wedding space. The collaboration of all our vendors was nothing short of amazing! We felt the connection so richly translated to our friends and family because of the deep connection and care each person brought to the day.

What song did you choose for your first dance?

Blue Skies by Willie Nelson

"I never saw the sun shinin' so bright

Never saw things goin' so right

Noticing the days hurrying by

When you're in love, my how they fly by..."

What other special details did you include on your big day?

Blankets to keep our friends cozy and warm on a chilly fall day, Courtney’s dad's hat placed on a "seat of honor", and Nicks grandmother's church hat also on a "seat of honor". We went with seasonal decor and flowers and they blended with the farmhouse style perfectly.

If you had one piece of advice for future couples, what would it be?

Find the joy in the process. Connect with your vendors! They are such phenomenal humans and have richly given themselves to this field to help celebrate and create long lasting memories. They hold such incredible stories, wisdom and remarkable sense of safety for you on your big day. & Have fun and feel alllll the love in the room.
