Justine and Hunter are coming up on their one year anniversary! It was the perfect time for them to reflect on their gorgeous Farmhouse wedding last Summer! Congratulations to the happy couple!

How did you meet your significant other? How did they propose?
Hunter and I went to the same high school two years apart. We never spoke until my senior year of high school. He reached out to me on Snapchat and to this day we have the same 2,095 day streak.
The day of the proposal. We planned on a simple 4 year anniversary dinner, so while I was getting ready I received an emailed receipt from Acme stating he purchased “deli” products. I figured he got a sandwich on his way home from work. Before dinner he talked me into checking out Bellevue state park for our first time. I felt that I was too overdressed but agreed. As we sat on a bench, he pulled out the “deli” products and it was a prepackaged charcuterie tray. He said he wanted us to enjoy an appetizer at the park. Everything was completely normal and natural for us so I suspected nothing. He then mentioned he wanted to go for a walk before we headed to dinner, so we walked on a long trail.. until a “will you marry me” sign appeared strung on a willow tree with pink rose petals shaped in a heart.

What were some of your favorite things about The Farmhouse?
We chose The Farmhouse because of the all inclusive feature and how easily we could just picture everything perfectly when we toured. We toured twice and the staff was welcoming both times. Some of our favorite things about The Farmhouse would be 100% the attentive staff, pergola, our coordinator Katie, and the FOOD.
What was one of your favorite moments on your wedding day?
Our favorite moments on our wedding day were seeing each other for the first time walking down the aisle, spending time with our guests, eating the delicious food, cutting our cake and of course dancing!
What song did you choose for your first dance? What other special details did you include on your big day?
Our first dance song was “I Guess I'm in Love” by Clinton Kane (2022). Some special details we included was the memorial table of our loved ones, our “cord of three strands” unity ceremony, a worship song during our ceremony and of course our giant cut-out pictures of our cat on a stick so she can be there on our special day.

Your wedding meal is part of the memory- what dishes (or drinks!) stood out to you or your guests?
Everything! Especially the salmon dinner and white truffle flat bread- they were guest favorites! Our guest really liked the open bar, hors d'oeuvres, and our specialty wine, “Blue Hen Blue”. We were happy The Farmhouse was able to accommodate and serve our favorite wine.
What do you hope your guests remember most about your wedding day?
We hope our guests remember how present God was during our entire day, how amazingly attentive the staff was during our wedding and how beautifully coordinated everything was. The staff truly knows how to make the day stress free.
If you had one piece of advice for future couples, what would it be?
Be quick to forgive and never ever leave one another without saying “I love you.”
Any special plans for your upcoming one year anniversary?
We plan on taking our first family vacation with our fur-daughter a week before our anniversary and we are so excited to remember our wedding day when we taste our left over wedding cake on our anniversary night.
